Acceptable Use Policy
Effective 2026-10-28
What is forbidden
Any illegal activity, where you are, where your users are, or in Canada or the United States where our servers are.
Any child sexual exploitation or abuse material, real or generated, and any content that sexualizes minors. Zero tolerance.
Intimate images shared without consent, including deepfakes.
Terrorism, violent extremism, threats, harassment, incitement to hatred or violence.
Fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation of people or brands, and deceptive collection of passwords or payment details.
Malware, ransomware, botnets, command-and-control servers, and distributing or hosting such tools.
Cryptocurrency mining in any form (including in visitors' browsers), even at a small scale. We detect it, and it leads to the account's suspension.
Spam and unsolicited bulk email. Outbound SMTP is blocked; an email API service must follow its own anti-spam rules.
Network attacks: denial of service, port or vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own, unauthorized access, traffic interception.
Open proxies, relays, public VPNs and Tor exit nodes.
Selling illegal goods or services (drugs, weapons, forged documents, stolen data).
Infringing copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights.
Resource abuse that harms the platform or other customers, and getting around our limits, security controls or a suspension.
Testing the security of the App Cities platform without our written consent (write to security@appcities.cloud).
What we do
We may review an app, its content and its traffic when we receive a report or detect abuse, including through automated monitoring for mining, malware and network abuse.
A violation leads to the immediate suspension of the app or the account, without notice. Depending on its seriousness, the account is terminated. A suspension or termination for a violation is without refund of credits, add-ons or rentals.
We report illegal activity and content to the competent authorities. Child sexual exploitation material is always reported: in Canada, to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (Cybertip.ca) and the police, as the law requires; in the United States, to NCMEC's CyberTipline. We preserve related data as long as the law requires (at least 21 days in Canada, one year in the United States) and do not tell you about a report when that could harm an investigation.
We answer lawful requests from authorities and may disclose your account information to them as the law provides.
You are responsible for what your app's users and the AIs you connect to your account do.
Reporting abuse
Write to abuse@appcities.cloud with the app's address and what you saw. Never send us child exploitation images: report them directly to Cybertip.ca (Canada) or report.cybertip.org (United States), then send us only the address.
