Terms of Service
Effective 2026-10-28
1. The service
App Cities ("we") is operated by 14097335 Canada inc. (MG Networks), New Brunswick, Canada. App Cities puts the applications you build, with or without artificial intelligence, online, each on its own virtual machine (a "pod"), at <name>.apps.appcities.run or on your own domain.
These terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and us. By creating an account, you accept them.
2. Your account
You must be of the age of majority where you live. You log in with a link sent to your email address; keep access to it secure. You are responsible for everything done with your account, including by the AIs you connect.
One account per person or company. Creating accounts to get around a suspension, a limit or a payment is forbidden.
3. Your AI
When you connect an AI (through the connector or a pairing code), it acts on your behalf within the limits we give it: deploy, read the log, start and stop, manage your domain, propose spending. It can never pay, see your secret values or change your account. What you ask it or approve counts as done by you. You can disconnect it at any time.
4. Credits and prices
The service is prepaid with credits in US dollars. A running pod is billed by the minute, never above the displayed hour, day, week or month price. A stopped pod pays for its disk. Add-ons ("Keep my content", "Backups") and power rentals are paid ahead for their duration.
Purchased credits do not expire. They are not refundable, unless applicable law requires it or we shut the service down; in that case the unused balance is refunded.
Payments go through Stripe; we never see nor keep your card number. Every top-up has its invoice. Applicable taxes are added where the law requires.
We may change prices going forward with at least 30 days' notice by email. A rental already paid keeps its price.
5. When your credits reach zero
When your balance no longer covers what your pod owes, the pod stops at once and its content (disk, volumes, data) is deleted, unless the "Keep my content" add-on is paid for the current month. With it, the content is kept until the end of the paid period. We email you when your balance is low. Auto-recharge prevents the stop.
6. Your content
Your code, your data and what your app publishes remain yours. You only give us the right to host them, copy them for the backups you ask for, and show them where you publish them, to run the service.
You alone are responsible for your content and what your app does, its users and their personal data, and compliance with the laws that apply to them. Keep your own copies: export is available at any time.
7. Acceptable use, suspension and reporting
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Any illegal activity, including any child sexual exploitation, fraud, phishing, malware, cryptocurrency mining and spam, leads to the immediate suspension, without notice, of the account and all its apps, and may lead to its termination.
A suspension or termination for breach of these terms or of the Acceptable Use Policy is without refund of remaining credits, add-ons or rentals.
We report illegal content and activity we become aware of to the competent authorities and cooperate with them as the law provides. Child sexual exploitation material is always reported (in Canada, to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection and the police; in the United States, to NCMEC), and related data is preserved for as long as the law requires.
8. Availability
We work to keep the service running without interruption, but it is provided as is, without an availability guarantee. Maintenance may briefly stop pods; we give notice ahead when we can.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, data or goodwill). Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months before the event. These limits do not apply where the law forbids them, including for consumers in Quebec.
You indemnify us against third-party claims caused by your content, your app or a breach of these terms.
10. Closing your account
You can close your account in Settings. Your apps, their data, backups and secrets are then deleted for good; export them first. The remaining balance is handled under section 4.
We may close an account with 30 days' notice, or without notice for a breach (section 7).
11. Changes, governing law, language
We may change these terms; a material change is announced by email at least 30 days ahead. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada. The courts of Quebec have jurisdiction, subject to the rights the law gives consumers.
These terms exist in French and English; if they differ, the French version prevails.
