How to put your first app online without managing a server

Move from localhost to an HTTPS URL: prepare your project, check its services, choose a pod and verify the first deployment.

Your app works on your computer. Now you want other people to use it. They cannot visit your localhost. You need a place to run the app and a web address to share. A pod gives your project that place. Start with one small app and test it before you invite anyone.

The steps

  1. List what the project needs: a frontend, an API, a database, background jobs and any required secrets. This tells you what belongs in the pod.
  2. Prepare Docker Compose and test the project locally. Leave out node_modules, build outputs, .git and secret files when making the upload.
  3. Add credits, upload the folder or ZIP, or ask your connected AI to prepare the deployment. Review the pod capacity and cost before approving it.
  4. When the deployment is online, open the HTTPS URL and test a complete action such as creating and reopening a record. Check logs, not just the home page.

A common question

Do I have to use MCP?

No. The dashboard upload and the MCP connector are two ways to prepare the same project.

Ready to try your project?
