Prepaid credits: how to keep control of your app's cost
Understand your balance, pod usage, spending approval and what happens when credits run out.

Credits are money you add to your account before use. A running pod uses this balance. App Cities measures running time by the minute and applies price caps. A monthly cap is not the same as a free month after you stop paying. Read the current prices in your dashboard.
The steps
- Before deployment, check the pod's rate and caps. Include any paid storage, backup or extra-capacity options in your budget.
- Watch your balance while testing. A small app left running still uses credits even when nobody opens its page.
- If you use an AI, ask for the cost before a change. You must approve the expense; the AI must not approve it for you.
- Plan for a low balance. Review automatic recharge, retention and backup settings before placing important data in the pod.

Are the prices in Canadian dollars?
The current App Cities prices are shown in USD. Switching the interface to French does not change the billing currency.
